The Little Mermaid CD?Since there are alternate flounders and such, how do they choose which will be recorded on the OBCR? I would be pretty pissed if i was the flounder not picked.

I'm not sure for The Little Mermaid, but for Tarzan when they split Young Tarzan they just basically alternated the songs they were in.

I was wondering that, too.
The director probably just decides which voice they like better, and sit the kids down and just tell them what's going on. "You guys are all amazing. You're on BROADWAY for God's sake. But for the purpose of the recording, we have chosen _______ to sing for us. We hope you understand, and don't take it personally."

Yeah, that's pretty understandable.

It's Cody Hanford on the recording, right?
Both are really talented, imo. That is, if the one I saw and the one on the cast recording aren't the same person. lol

It's Brian D'addario (or something like that) on the recording.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

Is it really? I saw Brian D'Addario in Les Mis when TLM was in previews. Wouldn't he have been out of Les Mis by then?

How come They have like Cody Hanford and J.J. Singleton and Brian D' addario and Trevor Braun all playing Flounder?

Cody Hanford and J.J. Singleton are no longer in the cast. They got replaced by Brain D'Addario and Trevor Braun.

Goodness, its only been about 2 months!

There's bound to be many Flounders throughout the run of the show. In fact, I believe they're holding auditions soon.

It must be hard with kids. I can't imagine them wanting to do the same show for more than... around six months, I guess. At age 11 or whatever they are, their attention span probably isn't that long.
*shrugs* Just sayin'.

They were in it for Denver's pre-Broadway run, as well as the entire preview period. Brian D'Addario joined the cast Jan. 10th.

Well, they need to be
a) Physically mature enough to handle long rehearsals/late nights
b) Mentally mature enough to play the role
c) Young enough so that their voice doesn't crack or begin to break
