The Lion King Boot (For ENTIRELY EDUCATIONAL REASONS)

Does anyone have a good-quality copy of a performance of TLK? I don't care who performs in it, or what date, merely that all the visuals and lines can be made out clearly.

This is for another of my wacky theatrical revisions, a la Mini-Wicked. I'm sure no one will disapprove. If someone does, go ahead and remove this topic. If anyone has a link to give me, PM it to me so that we don't get in trouble with the mods.

Man I wish I could get my hands on a vid. I am such a fan and have seen the show so many times, but I would love a souvenir. Esp. to see Jason Raize since I started to like the show after he left.

No, I'm using it for a very school-oriented project right now. You'd be surprised.

Monsieur D'Arque, I remember when I was a lurker on the boards, you done thise sort fo thing with Wicked, do you think you could send me a copy of it because I can remember people asking for it.

Thanks. Wink

Yes, I am doing a painstaking transcription of the libretto, because many... well, many forensics competitions involve the "mini-musical" category, and having a script for the original makes it easier to adapt and condense. That's a good enough excuse.

But I have a problem. Anyone with an audio or video may be able to spot this- after the initial Mufasa/Zazu/Scar conversation, Zazu has a line, ending with "take him out, and beat him!" This cues the Pride Lands flute music, but between the music and the audience laughter, I can't catch Zazu's final line of the scene as he exits. It's annoying me.

Well if you are in NYC you can go to the library and there is a collection of recorded videos on tape.
