The French Cast Recording...ROCKS!! IT'S GREAT!
I got it on Friday, from a bargain bin here in town (two CD's $19).
Grizabella is amazing! Her high note in Memory is the best I'd EVER heard! It blew me away. I also love how she sang the last line a la Striesand. Buckly and Paige... eat your hearts out. This girl does wonders with the song.
This cast is better that Broadway AND London. I can't stop listening to it.
I love this recording.

and... she's american.. with NO accent whatsoever.. fantastic performer. had us cry almost every night.
She got fired from some very obscure reasons that none of us understood.
The producers were .... not nice and left the country not leaving the last months for the theatre rental..

The French Cast Recording is one of my favorites, almost every part of the show is in there, I think, the whole thing, no cuts at all. I love Rocky Tam Tam's "Rawrrrr" at the end of his song too. 
And yes, La Chasnon de Grisabelle, is a beautiful song sung in French. I have a small TV show clip of Gay Marshall singing "Memory" with about 5 or 6 members of the cast and I wish it was longer. She really brings pathos to the character of Grizzie.

It's one of my favorites, along with the Viennese highlights.
I believe the only cuts are towards the beginning of the Jellicle Ball, where they eliminate a couple pieces of repeated music, and they also take out a bit of the Gumbie Tap. Other than that, I think it's the entire show. Even more complete than the Hamburg recording.

Were you in the cast? Your post implies this. Unless I'm dumb and misinterpreting.

Yes I was.. but started a few months after the show opened in Paris so I'm not written on the CD's cast list.
