GO WATCH IT
Chevstriss

is there a cast list anywhere of ensemble?
Salome

can soemone on the east coast tape it for me its on at 10 here.
Gwen

my wonderful dad:
"I don't wanna watch it, nyah!" *changes channel.*
me: Brick wall
Oh the joys of living with such people.
mastachen

What's the cast?
Salome

Gabriel Byrne as Arthur!!!!!!

did anyone tape it?
JIJane

I wish I could see this, I LOVE Gabriel Byrne! Very Happy
Tom

The cast is:
Gabriel Byrne, Arthur -
Marin Mazzie, Guenevere -
Nathan Gunn, Lancelot -
Christopher Lloyd, Pellinore -
Fran Drescher, Morgan Le Fey -
Stacy Keach, Merlyn -
Bobby Steggert, Mordred -
Christopher Sieber, Dinadan -
Will Swenson, Sagamore -
Marc Kudisch, Lionel -
Erin Morley, Nimue

Overall, the production was mediocre. Byrne did not know his lines. The entire cast made numerous mistakes, blown lines, wrong notes (or in Byrnes case - no notes and no rhythm) I found the whole thing sad.
Salome

I'm stilll dying to see it.

even though that moron Fran Drecher is in it..and they kept that scene to begin with.
jetblack_diva

I saw it it was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I loved it! so good! sorry salome i didn't see this until I already saw it I would have taped it, sorry!
JIJane

Haha I like Fran Drescher but I really CANNOT see her in Camelot. Another reason to see this!
Salome

I cant stand her..plus no one uses the LeFay scene anymore lerner hated it,rightly so.
kozafluitmusique

I want to see this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! gaHhhhhhhh.

Ah well.....hopefully it will be on again.

Salome, I thought you were East Coast :-/

Who the HELL was in charge of casting here?!?!
Set_Buildin_Dad

Looks like PBS (at least on the west coast) is re-broadcasting Sunday afternoon. At least I think it is, this is the live from the Lincoln Center broadcast right? I just set up my TiVo to get it.

ETA: Here's a review of the show. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080509/ap_en_mu/theater_camelot;_ylt=AsQEShNO.BpaJEznH7W6JX5xFb8C

I missed the Camelot telecast on Thursday. But, WETA/26 in the Washington, DC, region is rebroadcasting it this Sunday at 1:00 p.m. Other PBS stations are probably also rebroadcasting.

Sunday? At 1pm? On WETA 26?

Oh the times I wish I was in America...
ConverseSneaker

Dang! I missed this thread last night...not that it matters, I don't even have PBS channel Crying or Very sad

Bothered the heck out of me that they didn't make Guenevre speak with an English accent!

I loved Bryne's Arthur, although not as much as Harris in the '82 performance.

I ADORE CHRISTOPHER LLOYD AS PELLINORE
LaurelDP

So I've never seen Camelot, and know basically nothing about the show, but it definitely caught me off guard when I turned this on and it was all modern and freaky.

If you're refering to Mordred's costume...I've actually seen that done a few times...yuck. Typical concert attire I think for the most part though...plus some chain-mail shirts for a few knights...choreography was modern though...that bugged me too...the joust was wierd.
LaurelDP

It was just all kind of strange for me. All of the outfits seemed costumey to me, so I'm not sure if it was normal concert attire or just some weird concept they were going for. And the choreography.
Synchro101

If anyone recorded it, is it possible for them to post it? I'm dying to see Nathan Gunn sing in this.
