Hi,
I have only ever had the chance to see Cats on video, but am going to be performing in a local production soon and was wondering what happens after 'The Old Gumbie Tap' with their tap shoes in a live veriosn? Do they leave them on for Tugger and than take them off during Mungojerrie's and Rumpleteazer's song?

they take them off right after the tap number, some of them are onstage when they take them off and sort of toss/slide them off. At least in the productions I've seen.

The Drama Queen

Man, in our production they cast a chorus of 6 kittens (they're all in the 10-13 age range) who do strictly dancing, and they get to do all of the tap dancing in Gumbie Cat Sad
