My middle school is doing a talent show audition. I'm singing On My Own.

I really don't know what to wear. I will probably get something Eponine-ish by the actual show, but I have nothing I can get by April 8. So, what should I do?

And, should I make the song as dramatic as it would be if I was playing Eponine? Or should I tone it down because it's a middle school?

well, for auditions, you're not supposed to wear costumes, just wear something comfortable that looks nice. i mean...middle school talent show audition, i'd say jeans and a nice top are probably fine.

and don't tone it down! sing it out girl!

I agree, they probably won't expect you to wear a costume for an audition anyway, just dress in something comfortable and tidy.
