Take my blues as read??? Help!

I love the musical Chess, but I can't for the life of me figure out what they mean when they say "Take my blues as read, my consolation," in the Endgame. Could anyone explain? It's been driving me crazy for ages.
Thanks,

In parliamentary procedure, you would say of a document "take it as read" if you wanted to enter it into the record of a meeting without actually reading it out loud, so that you could just move on and discuss it. In this context, it means that Anatoly is too cynical or frustrated to make a lengthy apology for his behavior to Svetlana; he wants to skip all the BS of handwringing ("singing the blues") and get to the point.
