I suggest watching the film as Godspell doesn't necesarilly have a plot. Also, if you are semi-religious and have read the gospel according to Matthew, you would know the plot as well. Basically, it is the story of a character who is sort of a modern day Jesus. Him and his friends chill, reenact bible stories, and sing awesome songs. Then in the 2nd act, "Jesus" dies.

Ha ha, me too. We don't get much inappropriateness on the Godspell forum. Anyway, all I can really think to add is that Godspell is almost like a bunch of skits strung together. I also suggest watching the movie to get a general idea of it, but don't make the movie the show. There are differences and the entire concept in general plays out better in a live forum. For character descriptions, check the FAQ thread. Keep in mind, the way Godspell's script is allows productions to be very flexible so your director may have other things in mind than what we say here.
