SWEET CHARITY!

Next semester my college is putting on Sweet Charity. I don't know much about the show and I just wanted everyones opinions on it as well as maybe some background info on the show. Info on the different female characters...etc. Most importantly though...what are some songs I could consider for the audition (obviously not from that show) Keep in mind I am not a soprano by any means = p Any help/suggestions would be much appreciated! Very Happy

Well, have you rented the film? Have you listened to the obc cd? How about the clips on utube, in the forgotten broadway collection, in the Fosse dvd, in the Tonys dvds? I cannot believe how often someone on these boards asks for information on a show that they intend to audition for yet have never seen in any format. Are you all so innovative that you don't want to taint your interpretation by seeing how the best did it??? Excuse my rant if you have already done your own investigation. I'd rent both Sweet Charity AND Nights of Cabiria and really watch them through. Fosse's choreography in the film is amazing.
