Suit of ArmorHello, everybody. This is my first time posting. I joined last year, when I directed "A Christmas Carol, The Musical" for our community theatre here in The Dalles, Oregon.I've done a search on this board for "suit of armor" and have been surprised not to find anything. I've seen fabric suits of armor, which might be acceptable... but isn't there a full suit of armor that the King(?) hides in to listen in to the queen and wizard planning their plot against princess Winnefred? What have people done to create suits of armor? Either stand-alone, or as costumes? I see on the web I can purchase a stand-alone for $299, which might be an option... Anyway, if this has already been discussed, please feel free to send me the link. THANK YOU SO MUCH in advance! |

The "king hiding in the suit of armor" bit only happens in the movie, not in the actual play. The Minstrel finds out the plan by befriending the wizard in the stage show.
The Dalles? I'm from the Oregon Coast! And I'm currently in Monmouth for school! |

Pappycat is right. But if you would like to make fake knights as set parts for the castle, I know how, but you'll need fake armour pieces like for costumes.
We took those pieces and put them in plaster of paris and made plaster copies until we had enough pieces for all of the knights. Spraypainted silver and then somehow they constructed a whole knight using those pieces and attacted them to two poles connected to the base. |

I've never had the chorus men wearing armor for this show. It does look nice, but it's not something that you have to make a big priority. Personally, I prefer not. |

Rent from whom?Your costumes truly were amazing! As far as community theatre, though, any ideas how we can only spend a thousand dollars on a couple of sets of body armor? |

armorfor our show we have these pieces of wood that suits of armor are painted on. we have them moving about the stage with the actors and such as the show goes on.we even have a girl pretending to flirt with one of them.. it's pretty funny! for sir harry i think we have some kind of sequined thing to make it look sort of like a knight's costume for a while. |
