Success story....... kind of.So I had my first Semi Professional audition two days ago. It was for a season of shows. I was going into the audition nervous untill I realised hey if it doesnt go well this time, no worries there are other shows. For 30 minutes I watched actors go in and out of the room. Some with amazing Professional experience and training some without. I thought I was way out of my league which I am sure I was. Besides my singing I have no professional musical theatre experience. But I still thought what the hell why not. If I dont get anything out of this no worries. So I strolled in there with confidence and a smile and did my best
Apparently, I wowed the directors. They said I had an amazing voice and had me read for a couple differant shows. I didnt see anyone doing this in the 30 minutes I was there. Afterwards they said they want to see me for callbacks in October. Which I also didnt expect. Now I realise I am not in any shows and there is a great chance I might not get in any. But it just goes to show ya, you never know what a director sees just be yourself relax and have fun. Hopefully I can carry that back there in a couple monthes.
P.S sorry for the cheesy moral I always feel my posts need to end with a moral of the story.

I'm most excited for you that you went to a semi-pro audition! I know tons of people that will never realize their full potential simply cuz they get too comfy in community theaters. so YAY daddydiesel! and YAY for your callback!
goes to show that people who have professional training/prof credits/whatever aren't necessarily better than you. i'm starting to meet people like that... people with impressive resumes but nonimpressive skills...
ANYWAY -YAY for daddydiesel! hip hip hooray!
