stuffed goose

Does anyone know where I can get a stuffed goose for the first scene w/ Gaston. I am having a hard time finding anything that looks okay.
Beagle On Stage

I honestly don't remember what we used. Your audience won't, either. By the time a teapot starts signing, no one is thinking about the bird that fell into a bag for five seconds in the first scene.

You might try looking at a pet store...I know that I bought my dog a stuffed duck and goose toys that looked pretty realistic, at least from a distance. You might have to take the squeaker out though, just in case! Imagine someone squeaking it on stage by mistake!

I think we might have used a rubber chicken.

It would be cheapest to hit the local toy store and see what looks good. You barely see it in most productions.

We use a doggie toy that looked like duck.

i know another place that used a rubber chicken and just glued feathers to it

I'd say to just use a rag or something. Laughing

yup so did we. It really doesn't matter. No one really pays attension.

We are finding one at Bass Pro shops (lightweight duck decoy or stuffed animal) since we have a crew member who works there. But I suggested the rubber chicken too, as a joke, but I like the "gluing feathers to it" idea!

I just bought a ty beanie buddy goose for $2 on ebay plus $4 shipping I think it was. It's much bigger than the beanie babies.

my TY stuffed goose from eBay arrived today - it looks really great! It's called Loosey Goose, but they have it in beanie babies too - the beanie buddy is the big one. I'm glad I bought it - it's really great, and it was cheap.

We used a rubber chicken and also had it drop down "loose feathers". Nobody seemed to notice about the chicken at all though..

That's because they are too busy looking at Gaston and the Silly Grils Wink
