I was wondering if anybody knows where I could find a techno, electronica, or dance-oriented mix of "Sixteen Going on Seventeen".

It's a strange question, I know, but I'm curious because it would be hilarious if I had it as a joke for an upcoming rehearsal.

The only techno mixes I've found for musicals are for Phantom and Evita...

I bought both CDs of them - being a DJ and a huge fan of Rent, I couldn't resist. The first CD has four different versions of "Seasons of Love". My personal taste, the "Payin' the Rent" version is the best of the four.

Be forewarned that all the remixed songs are from the movie, not the broadway cast album - Rosario Dawson is easy to make out in 'Out Tonight' and 'Light My Candle'.

I've never attempted to put music up on the information superhighway, and both CDs are currently swimming in the morass that is my car's backseat, but if you really do want to hear them, I'd be happy to try my best to put them up somewhere for you.
