Strange question...Not sure if anybody here can help, but I'll ask anyway, as everyone else is sleeping!
There's some pretty big scale filming going on out the back of where I live - hence me being awake. HUGE lights, loads of cameras, trucks, trailers, people, blocked off roads (no parking for me dammit!) and a giant, lit up, inflatable ball...weird.
The question is, does anybody here have any idea if there's some sort of online resource that has details of things being filmed (I'm looking specifically at London) in different locations? I'd quite like to know what's keeping me up with all the lights n stuff!

Um.... that sounds interesting. Try checking your local newspapers. My dad ran through a Law and Order SVU set that was set up in his nieghborhood on his evening jog last week. We weren't sure what it was (although we could see the big lights from his apartment) but the local section of the paper ran up a small article of what it was, where it was filming, ect.
If you have a problem with them filming at night I suggest you go out and talk to someone on the staff. Exactly how late is it out there in London? I'm pretty sure there are laws against running lights like that and filming scenes in the middle of the night. There are laws against that in America.... pull an American and call the police if it really bugs you. And threaten to sue.* 
*I'm making fun of the stereotypical movie American. Aside from my uncle, I don't think anyone else in America would do that.

If they're there again tomorrow you could just ask. Unless it's one of those snotty things where they're trying not to reveal what it is, they'll just say "Yeah, it's for Bourne Identity 4" etc.

They cleared up and left by about one...was looking for production names while I was driving round but couldn't see anything! Doh!
If they're there tonight, I'm definately gonna go see whats going on.
They must being using it for the gritty urban 'ghetto' that's out the back there lol 
Its still cheap to film round here cos its really not a 'fashionable' area...
