Stop The World, I Want to Get Off audition songs

I have never seen this show or heard any of the music. Is the female lead singable by a soprano? I can't go very low period or belt high, but have a decent mix so I can sing some belty songs like "I Don't Know How to Love Him" or "Astonishing" from Little Women pretty well.

What would be a good audition song for me to look at? Or even just musicals that are similar? Even if I can't play the lead I'd like to audition for the chorus.

thanks!

Female lead is a mezzo range but a soprano is also fine for it. Sing something before 1980. No rock or pop. I suggest you look at a musical called The roar of the greasepaint the smell of the crowd, same composers, very similar set up of a show, written in the same decade. There should be some suitable audition songs in that. Apart from that some Jerry Herman is always good. Would avoid ALW stuff and Little Women, not suitable and too modern.
