Spelling Bee VideoThere's a great Spelling Bee video at Man In Chair featuring the original Spelling Bee cast.Here are my observations: 1. If you’re smart, you have to have a speech impediment. 2. The actor who sings “I Might Be Smart” (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) is Betty’s dentist on Ugly Betty. 3. Chip sings “rejection,” “confection,” and “complexion,” but is cut off right before “erection” (although we see evidence of it later). 4. Chip’s money note at the end of “unfortunate” kills me (in a good way) every time. 5. So does the “I Love You” song. |

I wish I had a collection of all the quips they use. In one show a young pretty woman contestant got "Ashley was kicked out of the girl scouts for letting the boys eat her cookies" Another guy, dressed in dark drap clothes, got "John is looking forward to the day that Wal-Mart starts selling its clothes in color." |
