I was just wondering, is there any dialogue in Spelling Bee immediately preceding the I Love You Song other than what is included on the CD?

And if so, what is it?

I'm just curious as to how it sets the scene up.

There's a lot of dialogue that sets up the situation that's not in that scene. Olive has just been abandoned completely at the bee a few minutes ago. Her father will not be coming, and will not take her to Washington if she wins. Panch is beginning to feel genuine human sympathy towards someone for the first time since his breakdown.

Check the internet. The broadway script was leaked over a year ago, and so if you know where to look, you could read the whole thing.
