To add to that...
how do you bring on the coach? Basically what all needs to happen in the magic scenes?
(lt. shaw and I will be in the same production of the show if you were wondering why i'm adding to HIS thread...DON'T GET MAD lt. shaw! Mr. Green )

In our production, we had a bunch of dancers dressed as "magic" who had a coreographed routine for dressing Cinderella. They danced around and sort of assembled the dress on her, over her peasant outfit. For the coach, I believe we projected an image with light, or something.

Does anyone have anything else to add?

For the Transformation scene, we had dancers dressed in white leotards and white stockings and we put blacklights on the stage so that it appeared "magical" and turned the dancers' costumes a purple-ish color (it was really pretty!). While they danced, Cinderella spun offstage and got changed in about 15 seconds, and then spun onstage again in a white gown, so it appeared "magical", too. Spinning really showed off the dress too!

For the carriage, some of the people helping with the set actually built a "carriage" that was pulled by dancers. I think it was just a large square wooden plank with wheels on it, that the audience wouldn't see, and then took another large piece of wood, traced out a "carriage" shape, painted it to look pretty, and connected it to the front of the rolling plank of wood. We also put white christmas lights around the edges to make it look pretty.

Hope that helped!
