What? Everything's closing. At first it was mostly garbage shows, but this is seriously starting to... blow. Idk how to put it. I hope we're getting some better shows to replace them, but I think that's all there is to hope for.

Not at all!
I mean, it's sad, but it will come again... And "Always look on the bright side of life" is one of the songs... |

It's going to become a regional staple. Every town with a college or large high school is going to want to do Spamalot. It'll become one of those low-budget standards like Rocky Horror that draws a cult crowd.

I hate to say this guys... But in this depression the lights on broadway are fading... finding money for entertainment is going to descend the list of our country's priorities |

it's terrible that it's closing on broadway and west end (just saw it yesterday <3), but it's now opening in germany! so it's "not yet dead"! xD

it's sad to see that one of the best recent musicals has to close. this is a really good show, and this shows what the economy is doing to many shows.

You forget this isn't the first depression Broadway has ever seen. The economy rises and falls with time, and there will always be decades where it is booming, and decades where people are dirt poor. Broadway survived the first Great Depression While the majority of the population might not have the money, there always has been and there always will be people who will have the money, and WILL keep Broadway alive. When it's all over and done with, she'll come back out on top, just like she always has *hopeful!* |

You hit the nail on the head. I love Monty Python, but missed the boat on this one. |
