South Pacific Auditions

Well, I heard about some South Pacific auditions in October, and I'm auditioning for the part of Jerome. I'm wondering what song to sing. I don't have any info yet, but I'm going to see if I can find out some stuff.

You should definitely do a song that is sung in French. Or something from The King and I.

How old are you? The kids are usually quite young - in the production I was in, Jerome wasn't old enough to read well - he had to learn his lines by rote.

I agree that a song in French would be your best bet - if the two kids are not convincingly French speaking, that part of the plot really doesn't make much sense.

That is adorable. A couple of girls in our production of Annie had to do that... I had to help them. They learned quickly, though. The kids in the Charlie Brown movies learned their lines the same way.

I'm in my teens. I'm not going to say my exact age, but I can play younger parts; i.e. Munchkins, Colin Craven, etc.
