Because, according to sources, it's a complex solo that requires careful coordination between accompanist and singer to be done truly well.

Listen to the song. Is the accompaniment absurdly fast. Yes? Don't sing it at an audition. Look at the music. Does the time signature change every other bar? Yes? Don't sing it at an audition.

If you answered "No" to both, feel free to sing it!
