They say that out of all of Sondheim's shows, the character that is most similar to him/most based off himself is George in SitPwG. While I definitely understand why that is, I always wonder who Sondheim's Dot is. Is there a woman (or a man) from his life similar to the character of Dot? A muse and lover... who "always belonged together".
