Something Was MissingIn general, is "Something Was Missing" from Annie a good audition song? Is it overly done?

I don't think it'd be too bad. Depends on whether or not it shows off your range. So if you can sing much lower or much higher than the song shows off, it might be a good idea to pick a different one. But the high part at the end would be nice for showing off tenor range, I guess. Also, I think there may be an issue of whether or not it's appropriate for your age, but that's just me. As for overly done, I probably wouldn't know. But I don't think I've ever seen anyone audition using that song in my Ohio hicktown.

That's true. It's not age-appropriate... it would actually make me seem pedophilic. It definitely shows of my range, though because I can hit most of the high notes.

Lol to that one. Good observation. But you did say, "in general." Anyways, wahoo for you that you can hit those notes. That's impressive.

Most of the high notes. I do the last two or three falsetto.

You could always change the words a little for an audition if your worried about the whole "age appropriation" thing? Artistic liscence and all that...?
I think "Something Was Missing" is one of the best songs in the show - it's not one of the most well known songs and when I was in the show I didn't really hear it sung all that much but I found myself humming it days after the show finished!!
