So wednesday, i will be registering at the best studio in...

...best studio in my area. I'd like to give a thanks and heads up to this board in following me through my Cats journey last spring, it's really inspired me to give this theatre business a heave.

With that said, I do have a question. My ultimate goal in all of this is to later reprise my role as Mistoffelees at a bigger venue in a later date, but I'm not sure which classes to take. For sure ballet, since...well, it's Mistoffelees. But i'm looking for another class to take, and for this I am hoping for some input from you guys.

Guy-Paul

Guy-Paul (Misto06) played Misto in the UK Tour, and he will usually talk to someone who sincerely asks for help.

*squeals* oooooh look at you!...if you make it as Misto again...I'm gonna propose again XD! anywho you might want to try jazz maybe?...ballet and jazz....though it's good to take a lil bit of everything. Ballet n Jazz seem to be the biggest ones though. Guy Paul can give you pointers too. =3 awww..you're going for it and it makes me happy to see that. At least one of us stuck with the dream.

Ballet Ballet Ballet...at least to level III or IV...and maybe a couple of jazz classes.
Misto

Definetly ask Guy-Paul! I would give you his AIM s/n, but I'm not sure if he'll like that. I would say PM him.

And Paris and London. He's a real CATS and Misto veteran!

Guy-Paul sounds like your man, all right. I've seen him dance in the videos he posted. Shocked

Myself, I would reccomend jazz, since it's the second most basic form of dance there is. Also, jazz training would be beneficial to be able to perform the other numbers in the show.

oh here in america/southern california....we have levels of difiiculty being like I the easiest and VII or VIII the hardest. it could also be years of ballet.

i do remember reading around about ballet I and ballet II in some of the studios, including the one i'm joining, but i don't really know what they mean. thanks for clearing that up.

okay, so earlier today i registered my classes, of which there will be potentially four. Being the 1st of only 2 males to register at the studio, we were told, we were given a discount - we didn't need to pay a registration fee, and our first month was also free while we saw if this was really what we wanted (smart idea, IMO). I kinda had to limit my choices because of work and after school activities, which included the rehearsals of my upcoming fall show Pajama Game. I was really miffed that i missed out on acrobatics >_>. My classes:

Monday: Ballet II
Tuesday: Tap, hip hop/jazz
Thursday: Modern

I was able to skip the beginner ballet class because both the head choreographer and the ballet choreographer had seen me in Cats and thought I would be able to pick it up right away. I would be having the acrobatics and a second ballet class on thursday but sadly PG rehearsals are in the way. =(

I know definitely for sure by the end of the first month i will want to keep going with Ballet and Jazz. what is really up in the air is tap - she (Cathie, the head choreographer) recommended I at least try it because of the free first month trial thing and that "I think you would be good at it." Won't know unless i try, i guess.

Congraduations!
May you go far on your journey...
I'll be cheering in the background as I watch everyone move foreward.
