SitPwG / Finishing the Hat QuestionHow high does Finishing the Hat go?
What is George(s) overall vocal range?

I'm not sure, but I think that "Finishing the Hat" goes up to an F#. But it's up there quite a bit. Those sections starting on "always turning back to late" "the woman that you wanted goes" both start on Es, I think. (I'm guessing by singing badly into a tuner. I don't have the score)
I'd say he's probably a low tenor. Which sucks for me, because that's just because of Patinkin. Sondheim initially conceived George as a bass-baritone... and now I can't play it. Most websites slap him as a tenor, but he does go fairly low at points.

Yeah, Sondheim has written a lot of roles that could probably be tenor or baritone, but need a big range.
George(s), Jack, Bobby, Anthony, I'm kind of thinking Henrik could go either way.
Does anyone know George(s) exact range?

In the sheet music for Finishing the Hat that I have it goes up to an Ab.

Just wishful thinking on my part, then.

Or an inaccurate score.

It was me trying to use a tuner and guessing.
