My mom's favorite is Phantom of the Opera.

My dad couldn't care less.

They both HATE Cats with a passion and walked out on it once.

My sister loves Wicked.

My brother's all about The Music Man; he's played Winthrop three times and he's more perfect for the role than anyone else could ever be... red hair, freckles, big blue eyes, short, lisp, blushes easily, adorable little voice.

My grandparents? Not a clue.

My mom likes Legally Blonde, Hairspray, Movin' Out.....
blue wind

my dad was always saying he hated musicals.
then i took him to see the producers. LOL!<--he was obsessed for like a month and a half!

my mom has childhood favorites like gypsy, cabaret, guys and dolls....but she's usually the one who takes me to see shows when i go to NYC and stuff and she usually enjoys them.

my sister likes a lot of the same shows i do, except spring awakening. she just really doesn't like that one. or a chorus line, for some reason. wicked and rent are probably her favorites. along w/ legally blonde.

My mom is the only one besides me and my sister who likes Broadway...I think my mom's favourite show was a producti0on of Fiddler on the Roof she saw a few years back 9she exalts it to no end), and my sister loves the Godspell music, and the Rent film...she's very picky about cast, so she hasn'r seen it live even though there's a production playing in our city-with an American Idol runner-up playing Collins and the South African Idol winner playing Roger...

They were the worst parts of the cast... I seen them in Chicago and they by far brought the quality of the show down. Everybody else was great though!

My mom loves High School Musical ( Rolling Eyes ), Wicked, and Hairspray.

My dad HATES musicals. I think they only one he has liked has been The Producers, and he likes Nikki Blonsky in the Hairspray movie because he thinks shes adorable.

My one aunt hates nearly every show I like. Her favorite is Les Mis and Jesus Christ Superstar.

Otherwise everybody else in my family doesn't know any musicals or hates them.

Most of my family is totally clueless when it comes to music theatre. My mum's probably the most into it -- she likes My Fair Lady and South Pacific. Then there's my dad, who is one of the most un-musical people I know, but likes Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. My two little sisters take great pleasure in bagging out music theatre whenever they can, but both loved Miss Saigon when we went to see it last week, and the older one (she's fifteen) enjoys Guys & Dolls. The younger one (twelve), loves High School Musical. *shudder*

All of them hate Sweeney Todd. Sad

My entire family likes Avenue Q. They laughed SO hard when we watched it, it was priceless. Very Happy Whenever I listen to it on my iPod in the car they always laugh.

It was kind of funny.. today I was watching home videos from when I was a toddler and in every one of them, my folks were blasting showtunes in the background. And they wonder where I got my obsession from! In the first one, me and my little brother were dancing around to Rent (he was wearing a sparkly tutu), in the second I was just a baby and in the background they were playing Miss Saigon, and in the third one they were holding me up to dance to Dreamgirls. Haha, ^-^

Every once in a while she hums numbers from old musicals at family functions. A few weeks ago I mentioned that my family and I were going to see Gypsy on Broadway and she started singing "Let Me Entertain You." It makes me wonder what other musicals she's knowledgable of. Smile
