I own the c.d. version of the soundtrack from the 2006 Broadway musical, Shout!, but the c.d. liner doesn't give a synopsis for the show.

I made up my own synopsis. I haven't written a script yet, but, in my rendition of the story, five women prepare to put on a concert to raise money for their loved ones, who are fighting overseas in the current war; while they rehearse their concert, they discuss, and form, relationships with various men (Orange Girl meets a new guy, Red Girl is waiting for her overseas boyfriend, Green Girl is mourning the fact that an older guy jilted her, Blue Girl is ditching her minister's son for a nicer guy, and Yellow Girl is hoping for a new guy).

I visited the Shout! website, and I discovered that the musical does indeed already have a synopsis. Yet, that synopsis is really sketchy, because no sources seem to discuss it in detail.

If you could tell me about the detailed synopsis of the musical Shout!, I'd be forever grateful!

I've never heard of this musical. Is it still on Broadway? When did it open?
