I am auditioning to play Belle in a couple of weeks and I am ok with the material I will be singing and acting, however I am not quite sure what to wear. My gut tells me to wear a dress, but i don't want to look too over the top. If I chose not to, I'd probably wear a blue blouse, but what can I wear on my bottom half?

Well for my audition for Belle I wore a blue top, capris (I wore grey ones, not that it relly matters), and I put my hair in a low ponytail with a white bow. Hope I helped! Good luck with your auditions!

If you wore a casual dress, definitely. The blue blouse might be better with a pair of dress slacks or a nice skirt... But if you want to wear a dress, wear something nice that isn't TOO formal or TOO outlandish... a blue sundress, etc. Just don't wear a big, yellow ballgown! And whatever you pick, just pick something you're comfortable in.

Yeah -- you have to make sure you're comfortable in it, just in case a dance number is gone over that isn't Belle-related you have to do.

Oh thank you all so so much. I think we will be dancing so I am going to go with a comfy dress, which is white cotton with large spots of different shades of blue. (It's not too busy) and I'll tie my har back with a nice blue bow.

Do whatever you feel is right that is my advice! If you guts tell you to wear a dress- then do it. I have done my handfull of mistake by thinking of what they would want me to wear- instead of trusting my own feeling.
