I thought he had grown up, too, when he initiated a friendly and mature AIM conversation with me about the show we're in separate productions of right now. But the conversation turned out to be a set-up to direct me to something abusive and confrontational he had had someone else post here for him, and when I, of course, removed it, he started cussing me out. |

In some ways, why even bother? He'll just get banned again.  He's like a reoccuring case of herpes. It goes away but always manages to come back. But I'll admit that he has achieved a sort of legendary status. Even if he is gone for good (and I doubt it), that name will linger on this board for years. The Very Angry Man seems to have this status as well. I'm not sure of my recollection but he may have left around the time I joined because the name does seem familiar to me beyond long time posters' references to him. But according to waybackmachine.org he used the tag

Evan's not grown up - he's as two-faced as he ever has been. As Beagle described, if he's being "human" to one person, it's while he's doing something dispicable somewhere else. He's not changed in 5, 6 years. While he's being intelligent and amusing here, what's he doing to some poor girl somewhere else? He has consistantly abused and victimised girls online for as long as I've known him. If you think he's funny, smart, witty, you don't know him. You don't know what else he's doing online somewhere else, to someone else. | ||||

A. I think you are being a little too sensitive when it comes to Evan. He has a big mouth and has no problems getting into a fight with a girl. Making him sound like some sort of deviant is not only hypocritical of you, but completely irresponsible. B. I fought with Evan almost EVERY day for two years. I am not blind to what he is capable of. He is quick to get angry and has no problem insulting people he does not like. You are not speaking to someone who has always been a dear friend of his. There are a lot of people on here who think I am a d*ck and there are others who like me very much. The same goes for Evan. C. You should not cite Beagle as a point of reference when trying to make a point about Evan. It is no secret they are not friends. D. The poll speaks for itself. Are we all abusive? |

There are two ways of being cruel.
One, by lying about sensitive things in order to make others feel bad. Two, by being brutally honest without regard to other's feelings. Evan was the latter and while I do think some things are better-off left alone, as they're not worth destroying someone's feelings over, Evan was honest and to me, that makes him OK in my book. That doesn't mean I like everything he's said and done. There are some people he said things to that even hurt me as I don't think they deserved it, but I can't deny that in the end, as hurtful as it was, it was true. |

Okay, let me introduce myself (because I know you all care)...my name is Sarah, and I happen to know Evan personally. He goes to my school and we worked together in Urinetown....me backstage. So I pretty much was with him for hours at a time, three months straight. This is so amusing to me because he is NOTHING like this crazed two-faced asshole some of you are making him out to be. He IS very blunt when it comes to some things, and there really is no denying that he has his own opinions. He can come off a bit strong, but it's nothing to freak out about. Since when is honesty a bad thing? And my god, people...'victimizing little girls'? That's so ridiculous. Seriously, I laughed out loud at that. I can personally attest that he does know his stuff, and is very talented. He's pretty damn hilarious in real life too. He's honestly one of the most laid back people I know. I was talking about his talking voice. Yadda yadda yadda thing. I've not heard him sing so I couldn't judge that. Maybe I just like his accent. |

Honestly? Better yet, in classic (Evan) fashion, want uninhibited, nit-picky honesty? Mwahahaha. 
He can carry a tune. He has a masculine, yet somehow sweet, appealing tone. Last I heard, his high notes were on-key, but a tad "shouty." Not a terrible thing, but ironing that out would only improve, even if it's barely noticable. Makes the overall sound more "professional" and disciplined. It's all about making your vocal folds as relaxed as possible. Again, this is a really minor thing, as it's barely noticable when he does it. He would improve his voice ten-fold with some vibrato. I think his voice type would benefit from a rapid timbre-like vibrato, rather than a heavy, slower one. Vibrato is heavily reliant on relaxation of the vocal folds as well. The more relaxed, the more natural the sound of the vibrato. The more tense, the more "messy" sounding the vibrato. Overall, he has an appealing voice that is on-key. His voice's appeal is something that can't be learned or taught, so I'd say that's something he's blessed with, as some people just can't ever sound good due to naturally thin or screechy vocals. Keep in mind I haven't heard him sing anything recently, so it could be that he's since improved. |
