In January, I have an audition for LSoH. I really want to be Seymour. Our director wants us each to pick two songs (one ballad and one uptempo/comedy) and sing them as if we we're the character that we want. So, what are some songs that i could sing as Seymour?(not from the show) Please help me im desprite.

Well, I'm usually not very good with audition advice, but for the comedic one, how about "Purpose" from Avenue Q?

"Look at the Sky" from Urinetown: considering both Seymour and Bobby Strong were played by Hunter Foster (LSOH revival) it would show off the right kind of voice
"Good to be Alive" from Lucky Stiff
"The Kite" from You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown
"Mr Cellophane" from Chicago is a little low for Seymour, but it'd do.
"Love, I hear" from AFTH ON the way to the forum
"Never the Luck" from The Mystery of Edwin Drood
"Corner of the Sky" from Pippin
