Hi guys! I'm directing Godspell right now, and right now we're in the middle of our rehearsal process. We're going to get our set from a local junkyard later next week (we're on Spring Break starting tomorrow) and I was just curious if you guys could share descriptions or pictures of your sets for the show to give me some inspiration. I do already have some ideas for ours like:

A ladder
A picnic table
A trash can
A stone bench
A stack/pile of tires

But i need some more! Any ideas/pictures are SO appreciated!

Our set was very basic. A chicken wire tri-fold fence, a big box, many levels, and a backdrop. It worked exceedingly well.


These were pre-performance. We covered the stage tables, obviously, and pulled the blacks in to the edge of the drop.



Truthfully, I've always found that less is more with Godspell, and the more you use the actors as props/scenery the more fun it is!
