Seeing Wicked...

Just a bit of fun...

And that I was interested.
i'm_back

i saw it once and i loved it.
pish123c

I'm debating whether to see it next summer when it comes to my town.
Quique

Seeing it for the first time on July 5th.
Set_Buildin_Dad

Saw it once with my family in Los Angeles. Loved the show and will probably go to see it again sometime. It's great to have a show that connects with all different age groups in different ways.

I understand where many posters on this site find the musical too vanilla. They seem to want shows that are more controversial, edgier, or appeal to a certain demographic.

I however think that it takes a lot of tallent to create a show with such broad appeal for all ages. Not to mention the fact that a show with that kind of appeal is more financially lucerative, and isn't that the objective for a major broadway show?

Only once, in London.
I'd be willing to see it again but my mum hated it (not her sort of thing at all) and she mostly who I go to the theatre with so I'd need to find somebody else.
The Very Angry Woman

Once, pre-Broadway, and once on Broadway last month.

That was enough.
shakalakababy

only once on tour a couple of years ago. i'd love to see it again but i doubt that that's going to happen anytime soon
wickedboy

I've seen Wicked... so far... 5 times.
Jan 2006 - Chicago (Ana Gayster/ Kate Reinders)
20 April 2006 - Chicago (Kristy Cates/ Stacie Morgan Lewis) MY BIRTHDAY!
May 2007 - Chicago (Dee Rascoli (standby) / Stacie Morgan Lewis) MOTHER'S DAY... Mom loved it!
28 October 2007- London (Idina Menzel / Helen Dallimore) FRONT ROW
January 2007 - Chicago (Dee Rascoli/ Kate Fahrner (u/s Glinda)

I hope to see it again soon, I'm suffering withdrawl, and for goodness sakes, I need to see it on Broadway! I had tickets to see Eden on Broadway last July, but I had to cancel!

I must ask... I'm really not trying to be a smart-ass here, but if you hate the show so much, then why did you see it twice??

Who says (or implies) I ever hated it? I don't hate it. I don't like it, but I don't hate it.

I saw it pre-Broadway because it sounded interesting. I saw it. I thought it was fun and had a lot of problems.

I was in New York last month and my friend and I are both fans of Julia Murney, so we thought we'd see Wicked again because of her. My friend and I tried for lotto and my friend won.

That's the story.

I'm sure I'll love it as I am obsessed with the soundtrack and have the book.
