Seating at the Nederlander

For those of you who have seen RENT on Broadway, I'm curious if anyone knows how bad the rear mezzanine seats are. I'm talking like, 2nd to last row. Will I be able to see anything?? Just wondering because I really want to see it, but I can't afford to spend $100 for tickets.

I went to a sunday matinee and paid 60 dollars for 7th row seats, left orchestra. It was amazing. If you haven't bought your tickets yet, that'd be a great location.

wow how'd you get orchestra seats for 60 bucks? I've been searching on ticketmaster and they're $100.

The last time I saw it on Broadway I got tickets at the TKTS booth. Great seats and a low price. Rent is long past it's "selling out every show" days, so I imagine TKTS would always be a safe bet.

Oh you can get wonderful tickets at TKTS.

We got right, orchestra, 4th row for $65 there.

TKTS is the best for Rent tickets. Last time we did it, we got the very first row in the mezzanine for $65 and the seats were awesome. Even so, if you do decide to get your tickets in advance through Ticketmaster, the Nederlander is a pretty small theater so I don't rear mezzanine would be all that bad.

It sounds like a good idea, but I just don't know how busy it will be. I'm planning on going this weekend, which is the start of winter break for most schools. What time would I have to start waiting in line to guarantee I get something?

If you get to the Boards early, you'll surely get something. Also, the weather in NY is TERRIBLE this week- cold, snowy, icy and rotten- so not many people will want to stand outside waiting for tickets. Rent is almost always on, though. You'll definitely get something. The tickets will be cheaper and be better seats.

I dunno. I knew they were ridiculously cheap for the quality of the seats.

I just waited in line, it took me about 2 hrs, I bought em, and saw the show at 3:30 or so.

IT WAS AWESOME!!!
