Scores (help a musical reject here)

I read it on another forum..

What's the difference between a full score and a conductor's score?

And they didn't really give a true answer. So what is the difference?

A full score has all the instruments' and vocal parts written out in full. A conductor's score doesn't; it has a condensed version of the score which could be played on a piano or keyboard, with a vocal line above it, and sometimes with another instrumental line as well. Often the piano part will have indications as to which instrument is playing particular sections.

My own question....

What's the difference between a musical director and conductor?

In all shows I've done, they've been the same person.
scottorr

A musical director teaches the music to the performers and works with them on it, while a conductor just conducts the actual live performances from the pit.
