My parents were offered 4 tickets to see it with my country club, but NO they denyed them because it was the start of school.
You're lucky, you can say I'm quite jealous. I've loved the music from Tarzan since the movie came out.

I was curious as to how they did the apes? was it something like the lion king with puppets or did they use full body suits?

I've got 2 recordings of it and meh...its alright, nothing REALLY grabs me though. I suspect the spectacle is really amazing though, and the music isn't bad, just not really enough to carry the show on its own.

Saw TarzanSaw Tarzan as well in previews...amazing...but I also sat 3rd row center and the apes swung out above us...
Another hit for Disney in my opinion...

Liar!
Those of you who liked it, what did you like about it? The flying? the completely green set? The lights? What?

My little 11 yr old brother is going to see it. I'm so jealous. I've never even been to Broadway! But I did get to see Wicked in Philly! (Something I wouldn't trade for the World!!!)

My school, I think, is going to see it in New York next year...I was skeptical, but if it's really that cool I think I'd like to see it. (Now I'm sort of hoping I go!)

Nothing grabs you? Not even the 3 minutes of almost sheer perfection that is "You'll Be in My Heart"? The show is far from perfect, but I think - if one is approching it purely from the cast ablum - there certainly are moments in the score that grab you. Besides the moving, almost universally loved ballad I've already mentioned, there are effective character driven moments like Jane's audacious introduction in "Waiting For This Moment"; a stirring conceptual number that showcases the show's themes without being didactic about it in "Two Worlds"; and a fine love song in "For The First Time". That doesn't mean the show, or even just the score, is without its flaws, but there is enough there to pique the interest.

If you're waiting for a response, don't hold your breath. This topic stopped in May of 2006, and Lone hasn't been here for quite some time.
