I'm just curious as to your opnions of this casting choice. I've actually heard many positive comments about it and am currently on the pro-side myself. People have made good points about howm while Cohen may not be a singer, his acting style definitely suits Pirell well. I think he'll do a funny job. I don't know if it will be good or not, but it will definitley be funny (funny can be a bad thing if it's not done right, or done at the wrong moments, etc.) What do you guys think?

Pirelli is essentially a comic role - Cohen is one of the funniest people on screen at the moment if Borat is anything to go by. However, the part of Pirelli also demands a trained operatic voice, which raises the question of how Cohen will cope with that.

I've actually heard terrible rumors of him rapping his music...I don't know if it is true or not...but I really hope that it isn't!

That rumour is a spoof on Cohen's second most famous character, Ali G, a white rapper. The rumour began as a joke in reference to Ali G, and became passed around as a supposed "fact," sullying his reputation. As Ali G was slowly forgotten due to Borat's popularity, the context for the joke disappeared.
