Cats in Russia from start to fin! 1st!!! love the techy appreciation, the building of the theater and stage from ground zero, 2nd, love that it shows rehersals in both dance and song with the cast out of costume! 3rd love that it shows not only making costumes, but wigs and makeup too, (very informative!!!) 4th THE opening night! (the guy slipping on the ice is funny) 5th WOWSERS!!!! Actually dancing, incostume, closeups, and such... Jemima is so cute as is tugger! Thanx for the video Natasha, it's much more complete than the last ones I've been watching so far (a part from the ones in this forum) And I bet Cats in Russia must be excellent because of the big amount of great dancers/performers that are in that country...
BTW... who's taht Tugger!!! I wanna a date with him (if he's not gay of course...hehehe) he's gorgeous... Before the shots on stage, there has been a shot where there was a boy I think, with long hair and white or grey?? make up?? was it Munkustrap? he's cute too!

ALW's speech was so cute... he always comes out so shy and shocked that someone wants to do his pieces, or that they've done so remarkably well... If he weren't about forty years older than me, he'd be on the list... I like the dog at the end of Rum Tum Tugger... though its awfully random. Nice way to get motivation to leave the stage. The Rumpelteazer/Tugger action was interesting too, she's got a great scream! |

I love the Skimble song too of course.
It seems to be faster than in any other production I've listened to. Is that just coming from the recording or to they play really so fast on stage ? Too bad I don't understand any word in Russian

Jemima57, of course they don't play so fast on stage... that's really too fast. I don't know how they managed to dance through this song, because it was a TV performance too, but I don't have the video yet, only the music. In the live show they sing much more slowly | ||||

Speaking of Russian Cats, I remember seeing pictures of a Russian production with really distinct costumes that varied alot from the usually designs, but were unique and suited the characters well. Anyone else remember these? |
