running for officeI'm running for class V.P. and was wondering if any one here has had a successful campaign in school. If so what did you do? For class elections, we only make a speech so if any one has an good ideas for speeches, please let me know.

I was our school's Public Relations Officer in a student government of 5. But my campaign was a lot of funny antics, which you have to have the right personality to pull off.

In my school, you write a paragraph of why you would be a good officer in whatever position and then people come down on a certain day and vote.
Of course, my class is pathetic and only two people actually were running, for different offices. I was going for VP. Then Miss Popular and Perfectly ***** of my class won and she didn't even run. She's gone to zero meetings this year. I'm thinking of suggesting a clause to add to the whole prom court voting, like you have to attend so many class meetings in order to be voted in it

they let her? how. At my school if you vote for someone not on the ballot they don't count any of your votes for that position (we do approval voting)

^That's what I've been wondering. Apparently all of her friends just wrote her name down when she asked them too or something like that.

One girls with a handful of friends that are also friends with me.
We do approval voting meaning you can vote for all but one candidate, so if all girl 2 friends vote for me, my close friends only vote for me, and a handful of girl one's friends also vote for me then i have a chance.
