Rum Tum Tugger and ?

During the Rum Tum Tugger show there is one of the famale cats screams and gets uncounsiones of happiness when he flirts with here, who is that?

There is also a cat (Maybe the same) yells loudly long after Tugger stopped singing (talking about being exposed!) and for a mounth I have thaught it was Exotica (at least in the swedish production) that did that part but now I am not sure anymore. Can some one help me out here? Confused

It depends on the production. Could be Etcetera, Electra, Rumpleteazer or Sillabub. Or anyone in the non-replica productions.
Belle

In London Etcetera was Tugger's biggest fangirl. UK tour had... Rumple do it?

London - Etcetera
Broadway, Hamburg, Stuttgart, US-Tour, UK-Tour and in the most other productions - Rumple
Vienna - Electra

It's Sillabub in the world tour.
Toxic

it's been Electra in Berlin and on the German tour.

Just about any cats but Exotica then... d'oh! Is Exotica known for her screaming apart from that (Cause the swedish blogg said something like: "Exotica is a teenager who screams as soon as Tugger is nearby"

If I recall correctly, Exotica is pretty much an "extra" character created for Femi Taylor (Original New London Tantomile) on the CATS Video. In my fanfiction world, she is a Havana Brown...

Wikipedia indicates: "The character also appears in the South African and World Tour."

I think they have switched over the names "Etcetera" and "Exotica" - so the character we know as Etcetera is named Exotica here. Exotica's character, such as it is, is mature, aloof, quiet, elegant. Etcetera is the hyperactive bouncy kitten who is easily over-excited!

Could be a reason Smile Its a bit funny how many off the cats arent named in the actual show. What I get only the poem cats and (a bit uncertain) Victoria is named (plus a few cats in the gus section) but even a major caracter like demeter isnt named what I can remember... So Id guess its a little bit up to the choreagrapher to make out parts due to who of the caracters that is best on each part Smile

Victor is named. The name Victoria is used but in reference to Queen Victoria rather than to the cat. Demeter is named too. :p

Where is Demeter named? Confused

Try...

Some for the gentlemen, some for the dames:
Such as Plato, Admetus, Electra, Demeter...

That's All Folks...

That is all you will get. The main songs identify characters, but anyone without a song is not called by name.

I find it interesting that the songs Old Deuteronomy and Macavity is sung by the company, but not with the character being there for the most part. Old Dee does not enter his song until the very end, and Macavity is known only because Deme identifies him during a short appearance.

Another thing that I find interesting is character portrayal. Note the number of 'Chorus Cats" such as the ones who will become Grizabella, Jennyanydots, Rum Tum Tugger, Skimbleshanks and Mistoffelees. In the prologue, Grizabella is a chorus cat (I call her Bella or Belle). Later, she becomes Grizabella with the added coat, makeup and wig change and slight cossie change. Jenny gets Gumbied, loses that to her flashy orange one and then is seen in lycra again. Rum Tum Tugger gets a vest and collar. Skimble gets his vest and Misto loses his warmers and nearly goes full black. I wonder if they are really the 'Character' of the song, or Tribal members who know how to act like them... Perhaps, this is the reason behind the Quaxo/Misto notation in the playbill of the UK...

Interesting thinking... Well most of the one numbers cats (like misto and Rumpleteazer) tends to have an chorus name as well and this could ofc suggest that its the tribal members acting them. In mistofs case Id rather say he is disquising himself as the other cat to be able to make his apperearence when needed and maybe thats the case with Macavity and the barglar cats... In Gus case its obviously him playing or remember the part from the past...
