roles for children?

I am not at all familiar with this show and was wondering if there are any roles for children? I have 2 girls, ages 7 and 11. Are there roles, and are they ensemble roles or would they have lines/a part? Thanks.

There are no roles for children. If its being done by a community theater, they may put a handful of kids -- partly because there are a number of scenes where the entire town is there, and what town doesn't have kids? Also, they can be part of families.

But in a regular, by the book production, no kids.

If the girls are good dancers, especially tappers, they could be used in Will's tap dance.

Kids are an excellent addition to any Oklahoma cast. Our production had kids and we got sooo many compliments for having them. Put them in the Farmer and the Cowman and auction scenes with their hair in pigtails and in dresses. They'll be fine.

The London cast (which I believe was the best production of Oklahoma, ever) had children in their cast too. Children can definitely be in the ensemble, and it's a GREAT show to be a part of.
