Roles for a boy my age?Hey everybody! I just got an account here because I am wondering...
I am 13 years old, and the biggest professional musical theater company in my state MIGHT be doing Fiddler next summer! They rarely do shows with kids, so I hope they do it! Anyways, I will be 14 by the time they might do it, and I am wondering which roles I could be. I know that there are the two young boys, but they don't have any lines, right?  Or are there any larger parts for someone my age? Thanks! Even if I can just be in the chorus, I will still audition! It's a great oppurtunity!

the two boys usually also double in the "sons' ensemble.[/img]

Your best shot is ensemble, but it's a good shot! Go for it!

Ensemble.
I suppose you could be Mendel, the rabbis son, although he's usually cast as young 20's-late teens.

Maybe one of the 2 boys that Yente brought as prospective husbands for Shprintze and Bielke near the end (just before the Constable arrived with the eviction order); those would be among the shortest cameo roles. One of them is named Yankel, a carpenter's apprentice; I never knew the other one's name. Often those 2 roles are cast from the ensemble.
