Roles! ASAP Hi everyone!
I am up to audition for Damn Yankees in a month and I am clueless as to the roles in the show, besidesLola the belty alto (which I am not). I am a 21 year old soprano. I am classically trained but I can lighten to a lyric for musical theater. For an idea of my voice I have played Rapunzel in Into the Woods, Sarah in Guys and Dolls, and Mrs. Anderrssen in A Little Night Music. Are there any sopranos in this show that would be a feesible goal? Thanks!!!!

There really aren't a lot of female roles, and I don't think any of them are sopranos. There is Gloria who, I believe, is a mazzo-soprano. She has lots of dancing.

I played Mr. Applegate in the show, Lola's assistant... and the only roles I can come up with are Lola and Mrs. Hardy, the main character Joe Hardy's wife. The rest of the roles don't really have singing parts... female that is... unless you count Gloria. She's a great part with her own solo, "Shoeless Joe From Hannibal MO." That is basically it!
