Roger Daltrey

Because this forum is pretty much dying anyway, here's a new topic.

My aunt saw Roger Daltrey live one week ago... He was here (Rotterdam (at least I think it was Rotterdam, maybe Amsterdam)) for Last Night of the Proms. He performed 'See me, feel me' and the 'Pinball Wizard' from Tommy, and other songs from The Who. This aunt was also the same aunt that took me to see Tommy in the first place. He has aged quite a bit (which I'm sure you all know), his voice was older, but still quite enjoyable.

I'm so jealous! He certainly was one hot dude when he was in his twenties... Aww..

oh, he definitely was Very Happy hehe. i'm jealous that you got to go see him! lol

I love Roger Daltrey.. he's got a great voice!

Actually I didn't see him myself, my aunt did.

And yes, he was really a good singer way back then Smile

He is amazing on the Tommy soundtrack. "Listening To You/See Me, Feel Me" is his finest performance.

Yes he is Smile I really loved him in the film too... But that was more physically than his singing Wink

Daltry is brilliant as the street singer in the Raul Julia/Richard Harris film version of Threepenny Opera too.

I should watch that... What year is it from?

Roger Daltrey is to appear on one of the CSI series shortly as a Mob boss. Should be interesting.

Roger is amazing! The Who is my favorite band and I haven't seen Tommy but I plan on getting the movie soon. I love Roger's voice because it can adapt easily to any emotion and still sound great. I've always wanted to see him and Pete live. That's one of my dreams. Very Happy

I saw The Who in September and it was an amazing concert. I have the official bootleg CD and DVD of that show too. www.themusic.com has official Who bootlegs for this world tour.

I did notice that Roger is not spinning his mic as muchn anymore. I recall he only did it a few times during the show I was at. He (and Pete) still have it, though.

Saw Daltrey on CSI recently and he was brilliant! He played a mob boss who was supposed to be dead... but he wasn't. In the episode, he had to play five roles... including a black woman. Smile

He's a good actor and really sells stuff. I guess that's because he calls himself a "dramatist" of Pete's work and others.

I'm pretty much in love with Roger Daltrey (as if you couldn't tell by my user name) and "The Who" and I saw them in concert in November and it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life, I cried during "Baba O'Riley", I plan on seeing them again for my 21st birthday in March.

Roger still looks amazing Razz

You cried during "Baba O'Riley" too? Wow. I was in tears when the organ part started.

The Who is my favorite band.
Though John Entwistle and Keith Moon have died off, they are still amazing and I'm in awe of how Roger still has the voice that he has.
I mean, after around 40 years of screaming and singing, you'd think that it would just wear out...

Oh and by the way, today is Pete Townshends birthday!
He is 61 I believe..
