How the hell do you do this?

I have never auditioned with a rock song and don't even know where the hell to start. what makes for a good rock audition song? I'm assuming some insane ass Kelly Clarkson belt? And how do you find one that's not overdone? Rock is popular. and i'm pretty sure my idea of rock is quite different from casting people's ideas of rock. I would sing something by the yeah yeah yeah's, but they're probably thinking billy joel.

I love the Yeah Yeah Yeahs! Anyways, is this for any specific show? If it is for a show like We Will Rock You or Tommy, I would go with a song by Queen or The Who, etc.

Well I would sort of like a general one I could use at a few auditions. But the one I would use it next for is actually a Disney audition. I'm sort of thinking of going to one of their park auditions so I can be part of one of their annoying groups that sings cheesy patriotic songs on the corners. I'd really just like to be a part of one of their Beauty and the Beast or Little Mermaid stage shows.

So it may hafta be fairly wholesome if I actually go to this Disney audition.

Oh, the if you want to do a rock song, Kelly Clarkson is fine.
