I just read in the paper today that a Toronto based commentary program is being cancelled after God know's how long on air.
The way this program works is that, in Trornto there several vidoe booths around the city. You find one, pop a Loonie in to activate the video recorder, and talk. You can talk about absoulutely ANYTHING. People rant about George Bush, how dirty/clean the city is, how messed up our government is, their bunions (true I saw this myself). People also sing, audition for shows, hawk their products/services. etc. Lots of celebrities and politicians have used it too. Gene Simmons among others used it, former PM Jean Chretien used it to hawk his party platform during his election bid in the late 90's (and won), and among all else, Scott Speedman got his role on Felicity after auditioning for it on Speaker's Corner and Mike Myers showed off his comedy skills on it.. See after all the video is collected, it's edited and the most interesting/amusing clips are shown on TV.

Anyway, I was just really pissed that they're taking this away. I hope soem of my other neighbours on here living in or around Toronto feel the same.
