We've lost another iconic performer today. Mary Travers of the classic folk group Peter, Paul and Mary died today.

Peter, Paul & Mary had many hits that I loved, but were probably best known for bringing the Bob Dylan song "Blowing in the Wind" into the mainstream and making it the anthem for a generation. Goodbye Mary, your artistry affected many lives.

Oh, no.. I really love Peter, Paul, and Mary... I listen to their records all the time. Aw that's so sad.. RIP =(

Oh no!! I loved Peter Paul and Mary, I listened to them all the time when I was younger!!! Sad day. RIP Mary Travers.

I was shocked when I heard this. She was just touring with Peter Paul and Mary earlier this summer. I saw them early this year.

so sad...she was a true artist, american and wonderful lady.

I was pretty sad when I heard about her passing this morning. Although I'm not really a fan of folk, I was pretty much raised on Peter, Paul, and Mary. My parents, on the other hand, are huge fans, and I know they were pretty distraught (plus when I told my mom, she hadn't even heard about Patrick Swayze yet!). They even met Mary once.
