RIP George Furth

Longtime actor and writer George Furth has died at the age of 75. Not only did he appear in dozens of movies and TV shows, he collaborated with Stephen Sondheim on the musical "Company," winning the Tony Award for Best Book of a Musical.

Thank you Mr. Furth.

OH MY WORD!!!!

Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

Those crying faces are me.

Wow...just...wow...

Thank you, Mr. Furth, for helping to create characters that make me feel alive.

God bless your soul.

If I'm not mistaken, Furth also wrote the books for "Merrily..." and "Getting Away With Murder". Granted, neither of those carry the legacy or lasting effect as COMPANY, but I still think it's neat that he got to collaborate with Sondheim two more times.

One of the reasons I love COMPANY is because it was written for a 1970's audience, and yet if you see it today, it still feels just as fresh and not at all dated. So, thank you for a timeless and oftentimes startlingly relatable book to a great musical, Mr. Furth.
