RIP Coco 1992-2006

Today is my old friend's last day and I'm not even going to get a chance to say goodbye so in my absence I post this. A feeble attempt for me to give my respect. He was the best dog anyone could have. We rescued him when he was a puppy from an abusive home and we grew up together. He was a troublesome puppy and always tried to run out of the house but he just had so much energy! He was full of life and lived that way up until just recently. He acted as a proud "father" to 2 liters of puppies and helped teach our younger dogs the ropes and how to be a dog. His favorite food was pasta...anykind. He may have been a Chinese Shar Pei but he was Italian in his heart! He guarded our house and our family and slept in my room when I lived at home. And now that I don't live at home it's so hard to think that I couldn't spend his last hours with him. He was the Boss and I'm going to miss him so much!

Here's to the Boss!

*Big hugs*I'm so sorry to hear that.I am dedicating this to your Coco:

RAINBOW BRIDGE:
Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to the Rainnbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor;those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.The animals are happy and content, exept for one small thing:they miss someone very special, someone who was left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when suddenly one stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent;his eager body begins to quiver.Suddenly he breaks from the group, flying over the green grass, faster and faster. You have been spotted and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face, your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into those trusting eyes,so long gone from your life, but never absent your heart. Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together...

Oh, I am sorry that you've lost your dear friend, Etcy. It is so hard losing a pet...he sounded like a one of a kind dog.

*hugs to Etcy* It's bad enough to lose a pet (or any other family member), but not being there makes it that much harder. Being in NY kept me away from the final hours of three of my dogs in the last two years, so I totally know how you feel. Major props for posting that here. I've never had the guts to share my grief.

All my best thoughts are with him. He looked like one sweetheart! I hope that the memory of him will always stay with you. *hugs*

Loosing a pet is a very sad event, and some people hardly understand it. I wish you to some day find another sweetheart to make your life happier. Take care of yourself, and may the skies take care of Coco!
