how dare you insult a Beatle!

Laz doesn't like The Beatles. He made that clear to me a while ago.
What I can't understand is how someone can love music and not enjoy The Beatles. Without The Beatles, we wouldn't have the music we all know and love. Anyway, Starr plays a very creepy (yet funny) Uncle Ernie. I still don't know why he asks to see Tommy's "vest." Maybe I'm missing something. Also, little TOMMY movie trivia: Rod Stewart (who plays the Local Lad on this recording) was originally cast as the Pinball Wizard for the film. Elton John heard about this and talked Stewart out of it, saying it would ruin his carreer. Elton John then took the role for himself. The rest is history. Andy. |

Ringo Starr was not a good musician. He was simply there and able to play the drums when john, paul, and george needed a drummer.

Starr has a built-in metronome in his body. He is aslo a very underrated drummer.
He plays Ernie well. Andy. |

To answer why Ringo as Uncle Ernie wants to see Tommy's vest:
Vest has a different meaning in the UK than it does in the USA. Vest in the UK means undershirt - so uncle Ernie was getting Tommy out of his outer garments and getting him down to his underwear. |
