Review for Oklahoma!I just found this marvelous review in the Toronto Star for the Stratford Festival of Ontario's production of Oklahoma! The reviewer was in love and gave it a perfect score (4 stars). I was also interested about the ballet. Acoording to the reviewer most productions use doubles for the ballet scene but this production actually had the principle actors doing it themsleves.http://www.thestar.com/columnists/article/219100 Is this a big deal for the show, to have the principles doing their own dancing for this scene? Or is just something interesting to note? I've only just stared getting interested in this show, since I see a musical or play with my family every year at the festival and sometimes more with my school. My mom was fairly certain that she was going by tckets to this show rather than the other musical playing there, "My One and Only". I guess it's settled now. I just have hope for good seats now! |

when Josephina Gabrielle played Laurey in London in 1998 they had her do the ballet herself...since she is a trained dancer. since then alot of productions have had laurey..and sometimes curley do the ballet themselves. |
